New art inpired by Lisa Kaus

I found artist Lisa Kaus' work featured in a recent Sommerset Studios magazine and was instantly drawn to her style. She does the cutest canvases, buckets, houses, and cake box towers. The "cakes" feature objects that go along with the theme. I want them all! I decided to make one for myself using her style for inspiration. This one is my first, I call it "Nest." I am happy with the way it turned out. I used pages from an 1870's ledger, tissue paper, mini nest, and eggs. I definetly need more stuff for adding on the next one. Check out Lisa Kaus' wonderful shop yourself here.
I hope to take a workshop with her one day, but until she makes it to the East Coast I will just have to wait.

Here you go again, creating some awesome art! I love them! Hard to believe this is your first try at these, you have her technique down but your own style shows through too Denise.

It is fantastic! Yes, it really catches the same mood as Lisa's, but is different too. Love it!
