The caged bird necklace

This is the newest necklace I have made. I found this really unique bird cage charm and couldn't wait to incorporate it into a necklace. I was organizing my jewelry supplies and found all kinds of chain that I forgot I had. I combined three different chains to make up this necklace. I then added a key charm to the chain. I would like to add a whole lot more to this, but I think I will try to keep it simple this time.

Filet o Fish Commercial

Yesterday on Racheal Ray she did a feature on a McDonald's commercial for the Filet O Fish. It is not playing in our market, but after hearing it on her show I can't get the jingle out of my head!
So I am warning you it will get stuck in your head for days, here is the link to watch it for yourself.
Go watch the talking fish here.

New Encaustic Bird Collage

This is my "Home Tweet Home" bird collage I just finished. I can't seem to get enough of the birds. The embellishing is so much fun too. "Somebody stop me!"

New Fairy Collage

I just finished this little fairy collage this week. She had been sitting on my desk for a couple of months just waiting patiently to be finished. Finally, I had time to sit down and contemplate her. Such a sweet little face with that little wand in her had. I do think she would grant any wish you would want. I love embellishing these little collage canvases they are so much fun. I could have done a lot more, but decided to show some restraint. I hurried up and melted the wax so I couldn't do anymore to the background. Go ahead, "Make a Wish."

Alcohol Inks I love

I was so excited to hear that Adirondak was coming out with new colors of alcohol inks. I have every set of the current colors and am excited to see what the new brighter colors are going to be. Then I realized that I also had these Studio 2 inks and they have a TON of colors. They are about the same price and you can buy just the colors you want instead of three in a pack like the Adirondak inks. Here are some dominoes I made with these inks. The bright pink one used my personal favorite "Sunset Pink" and "Canary Yellow" the two together are great. The dragon fly is the same two colors just watered down with the blender. The blender is my best friend too. The blue and green colored dominoes are with the Adirondak colors "Lettuce" and "Stream" two pretty colors too.

Cold day in Dixie

Wow yesterday it was 69 degrees and today it's 32 degrees. The kids have their fingers and toes crossed for a snow day tomorrow. Unfortunately it is going to be in the mid forties on Monday and this snow will be history fast. Oh well, it is so pretty, the spring flowers were in a little bit of a shock with this weather.
