TPLO Surgery Completed

My girl had her surgery on Friday and seems to be doing pretty well. I told her she had to go to rehab and she said, "NO, NO, NO" (hee hee couldn't resist). The worst part of this by far is when she has to wear her plastic cone around her head. She is totally freaked out by it and afraid to move at all. She won't even put her head down. I hope she gets used to it real soon, b/c I need some sleep at night.

Just found your blog and am having a great time looking around. But the picture of your girl (a golden, I'm assuming) grabbed me -- we have one as well. I hope the surgical recovery goes smoothly. Annie had to wear a collar once and we trimmed it down -- left just enough that she couldn't get to where she wasn't supposed to go but eliminated enough that she no longer freaked and could get through doorways! They're such sad little clowns with those on. All the best,

Wow Donna, it never occured to me to cut it down. That would have made life a whole lot easier. I will pass that tip on to everyone else who has told me their dogs freaked out with it on. Thanks for stopping by I hope you will have fun looking around.
