Another Bird Collage

Yes, I love birds. Anything with a bird or wings incorporated into it gets my attention. So here is another encaustic collage with a bird. This time I tried to paint a little nest for the bird to be sitting in. I am not the greatest sketch artist, but I like to play with my watersoluble crayons in this way. I also found this little keyhole hardware piece that I thought looked good up in the corner. These collages are 6x6 inches. I may get bold and get a pack of 9x9 canvases. Oooh that's a lot of white space to work with....We'll see.

Denise! These are so charming and pretty! I think your nest is great - you should see the one I did! I think it's hard to capture the feeling of the texture of nests.

Love your collages! I love playing with beeswax as well....it is addictive, as you say! The scent is sweet and the effect is ethereal! Check out my little birdie on a 4 x 4 canvas on artrix-playtime.blogspot.com. We think alike!

Nests are hard to sketch. My stuff still looks so flat, need to keep trying to improve my skills
