New Adventure

I am so excited. I have found two people to share a booth with at my local antique mall. The store used to be a grocery store and now is converted into probably 100 booths. There are some great dealers there. I always manage to find a treasure every time I go there. Now we will be selling there too. I am a little nervous since my things aren't true "antiques" more vintage or vintage looking. We are going to be painting our tiny 7x7 booth this week and are open for business on February 1st. I need to get busy! Here are some pictures of new items going to the booth and to my Etsy store. Sometimes when you get real busy with details creativity takes the back seat. I did manage to get a couple things made.

Spring is near!

Okay maybe not, but it has been unseasonably cold here and I want spring to come early! I have never been this cold in a long time. When I moved south from the midwest I left behind parkas, snow pants etc. In the past week we have had snow twice, that's 2 more times than last year. My kids have been thrilled and improvised sleds out of cookie sheets. I am sure this has the makings of a Jeff Foxworthy You might be a redneck if.... joke. Enough already let's warm it up.

I added a cluster map a while back to my blog to see where people are visiting me from around the world. I am always so thrilled to see the ones outside the United States. I think it is so great what a small world it is that we all love art and really have so much in common than not.
Thanks for stopping by my small part of the world.

Getting ready for Valentines Day

Here are some of the new items I am making for Valentine's. The tags are made with a cupid stamp that I have had for years. I just found it again, yeah for a newly cleaned studio. I have a new soldered charm too. This locket is pick and red is looking real fun. I am going to add one of these charms to a great rose quartz necklace I already had and didn't know what to make with it.

Be sure to check back real soon, I am working on a blog candy give away that will be especially sweet for Valentine's Day.

Crowns, Crowns, Crowns

I must admit I love crowns. I love them in my art, and have been known to wear a plastic one on my birthday. I was thrilled when I found these crown necklaces the other day. I actually bought several and am offering them for sale here on my blog.

These first pictures are of the three dimensional crown. It is the cutest petit crown. It comes on an 18 inch ball chain that is cut to sparkle too. It sits about 1/2 inch high and is $12.00

This second crown is flat and is about 3/4 inch wide. It comes on a 16 inch ball chain as well. The rhinestones sparkle nicely, a great little piece with jeans and a cute shirt. This necklace is $9.00.
I only have a couple of these so if you are interested please email me at alphaneenee@yahoo.com and put crown in the subject line. Now you can have the crown you deserve too!

My girl enjoying the lake

This is my sweet girl Maddy. She is 8 years young and is the best dog. This is a picture of her at the lake. She had just finished running on the sand chasing a ball. She sat down here to catch her breath and decided she was not going any further since it was so nice.
This is one of the lakes that has been drastically reduced with the drought of the century affecting the S.E United States. The water is usually 22 feet deep where this dock is sitting. It doesn't sound like it is going to get better any time soon.
