Saturday Night Art

Here is how I spent my Saturday night. When I was a much younger I remember going out on Saturday night and having a ball, and at the time I thought I will always want to do this it is so much fun. Now I am thrilled to death when I don't have any commitments and get to spend the night in my studio. Yes that is now my idea of a very good time.
I got to make these little polymer clay pumpkins and then I got into making some paper mache heads and boxes for Halloween too. I don't think I have every made so much Halloween stuff, but I love it!

A little Birdie

This is a little bird I recently made out of polymer clay. I just love all the birds everyone is using in their art right now. I had to have my own bird and nest for my kitchen table. So I sat down and made this little guy in about ten minutes. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out, sculpting out of my own head usually does not turn out too good. I recently found a wooden carving of a little bird my dad had done about twenty years ago. I hope he is looking down and is happy with what I am creating.

Target Halloween Shirt

Went to Target today. I love going to Target, they have the great dollar spot with so many fun things to work into my art. Today I got a tiny alphabet stamp set. They are the perfect size for these tiny metal tags I bought on Etsy, got a miniature lunch box that says Sugar Babies. I am going to alter it and make it into a ATC holder. Finally they had their $5.oo Halloween t-shirts. There were several cute ones but I settled on the green "Witchy" shirt. It will look so cute under my jean jacket. I can't wait for there to be a chill in the air!!

New Art Supplies

Are you like me, you want to own everything possible to make your art. I want the cutters, canvases of every size, every stamp, all of the beautiful Lumeire paints, etc. etc. Well I did get something new yesterday at Dick Blick (the candy store). I bought water soluble crayons. Woo Hoo! I can't wait to open the box to see all of the great colors inside. I will post something as soon as I can get them on the canvas!
